For trip after tip in the Great Movie Ride we had been in the car that gets hijacked by the gangster. The actors were always great. This last time we finally ended up in the front car to experience the Old West bank robbery. However our desperado was less than convincing.

....the monorails are being set up to be automated. :( no more monorail positions. kind'a scary. but Disney World would be my ultimate place to work ~ ;)

I would loved just work there

I work at number 5. I did the candy maker shift every day for 6 months and I get pulled in to do it from time to time. It's not all it's cracked up to be and everyone who gets scheduled that shift usually tries to trade it.

I see lists like this all the time, and every single one of them miss the two best jobs at Disney.
VIP tour guide (Getting paid to ride rides and eat all sorts of food) and Cinderella Castle Suite Concierge.

Hello everyone I work for Walt disney company and I was a monorail pilot at Walt disney world for 3 years then transfer to Disneyland and is a monorail pilot out here. It was a dream of mine to become a monorail pilot. I have so much fun driving the monorails for disney.

Being a former CM, I had dreams of where I wanted to work and most of the positions mentioned were ones that I did wish for. I started off as a street sweeper and enjoyed every day I was in DL. I really enjoyed the interaction with the guests every day.

During my second summer I moved into the Magic Shops and had the time of my life.

I'd go back to work for the Mouse in a heartbeat. Anywhere!

I love train rides. I got my first train ride before I was 2 months old. We went all across the US and back. It was for my Dads job as a printer. I then got to ride the train from our home town of Lebanon Pa. to Hershey Pa. to go to their amusement park. I loved the felling
the movements the train makes as it moves along. My next train rides were to you guessed it, Disney World. We go by train down and back it was our 13th trip that way in Dec 2013. I love the movements and can sleep peacefully. Then I get to ride the Disney trains in MK. Being a employee on those trains would be the greatest job in world as far as I would be concerned.

LOVED my time as a Monorail Pilot. I've had several incredible opportunities since then, but that will always remain my favorite.

If you need old war stories, let me know. I've got some great ones. :)

I have been a conductor on the Disneylnd railroad and a Skipper on the World famous Jungle Cruise. Both roles have been part of the greatest Job I've ever had with Disneyland Attractions.

Does Disney hire retired teachers? I'm 54 and would even be interested in working full time now! I have business and sales experience besides my teaching experience. Where do I find available positions?

Yes, you should look up Disney Casting. As a former teacher, you'd be a natural pick for someone who would eventually become a trainer. Also, there are education jobs with the company if you have no interest in food prep or ride operations.

Thanks Nicolas! I did a search but found nothing right now. I will continue to look. It would probably be helpful to be in touch with a company HR person possibly. Do you work for the company now? Could I possibly get your email address?

You forgot Baby Matron. I loved working in the baby care/ lost children. We greet guests and look at cute kids and babies all day in the adorable, antique and air conditioned baby care center. So fun!

Any of these jobs would be great. Full Time in resort or in the any of the theme parks would also be a dream job

I have been lucky enough to work 2 of those 5 jobs listed. I started out at the Movie Ride as a Gangster and Bandit for 2 years. Absolutely one of my most favorite jobs. I then transferred to Tech Services and worked my way up to a pyro technician. I was one of the crew chiefs on the Wishes show when it opened at the Magic Kingdom.

Hey Chris, would love to talk to you sometime! Can we make it happen, let me know!

Be sure and take the behind-the-scenes railroad tour at the Magic Kingdom. You'll visit the roundhouse where they perform engine maintenance and hear the part trains played in the life of Walt Disney and in the history of the parks. You'll also hear the story of how the park's four steam engines were rescued from a bone yard in Mexico. Sign up online as soon as you plan your trip. The tour fills up quickly.

The Conductor CM's are about the best I have listened to having taken the behind the scenes tour twice. Key's CM hold a close 2nd.

No matter what tour you take, or have a memorable moment, remember the CM's name and stop by City Hall and fill out a comment card, or go online and send a email to guest services ([email protected]) and express how they made your trip enjoyable. I have sent a couple of emails over the years passing my thanks back to those CM's who went above and beyond.
