For those complaining about attractions being closed for refurbishment during "busy" times - pretty much all year now is a busy time. There is no true slow season anymore. The attractions need to be taken down for repairs so they can operate safely. It's better that the rides are closed to be refurbished rather then the same rides going down for technical difficulties multiple times per day.

Sad I won't get to ride It's A Small World. :( It's one of my favorite attractions.

Couple possibly be a Jungle Book overlay to tie in with the upcoming live-action movie?

Please change the dates on closing down Big Thunder Mtn. Do it later after spring/summer. I just think that's a strange time to make a repair on one of the few rides for Teens to enjoy

The screens now say good bye to the names in your party! The change occurred a couple of days ago!

Is the third lift where at one point of time the walls seemed like they were shaking like an earthquake? My wife and I seem to remember this and point it out to the kids when we ride.

I like to see new car non gas power kind.

We will be there April 12th. I hate Big Thunder Mtn will be down. It was down for a short period when I was there last April. This is my daughter-in-law and my granddaughter's first trip ever and my son hasn't been in 13 years. We will miss this and Soarin'. Rats!

I hope they make the guns unattached to the cars like the ride at Disneyland. It will make the attraction more fun.

We are going in December 2016, so this doesn't directly affect us. We will reap the benefits!

I wish they'd re-theme the Aladdin spinner to not be so bright and shiny. It makes it stick out like a sore thumb amidst the patina and earthy color palette of Adventureland.

Interesting events. If you look at the last lift of the Big Thunder Mountain, you can see there are things that need fixing, or finishing. I wouldn't be surprised to see a new ending on the lift. But it did go through a massive refurb a few years ago, so we won't see new rail or anything that substantive in that time frame.

The screens in Small World will respond to your bands when they become operational. If you are from Japan, they will say good bye to you in Japanese. It's part of a My Magic initiative across property that has been delayed in implementation for some time, due to work in Shanghai, as well as some budgeting problems. You can check out further details on my DisneyatWork.com site.

More screens! More screens! Projectors and screens! Who wants silly tangible AA's? SCREENS FOREVER!

Get it all out of your systtem before we get there in 2017!

Disney World is like a living, ever-evolving entity. It will never be 100% complete, even if they wanted it to be. They would never close all their attractions at once (even at Hollywood Studios), even for the grandest of transitions, so once one project is complete, there will always be another attraction waiting in the wings to be updated.

It would be great if the Screens would say Merry Christmas, etc. . Along with a holiday over lay

Of course! We leave Michigan with our band on April 4th to spend the week there...Big Thunder Mountain Railroad closes just in time for us to get there...for Spring Break.

Argh. So sad. Headed there in late April-early May + am so sad that Big Thunder will be down.

Agreed. Will be there in the 2nd half of April. BTM was one ride I wanted to experience for my first ever trip to WDW. Well, I guess I'm using a Fastpass for something else now.

well, Swiss Family and Its a Small World will impact my upcoming late August trip. We usually hit Small world 2 or 3 times each visit and always climb the Swiss. Wasn't it just 2 years ago that Big Thunder was closed for an extended period of time? We go twice a year the dates always seem to run together but 1 particular visit, they couldn't keep Big Thunder or Splash Mtn running at all, our subsequent visit BTM was closed and Splash was still having problems

2010 and 2012. I know this because those were the 2 times my wife and I went and it was down for major refurbishment.

I never understood why they don't close down major attractions during the lowest attendance times. BYE closed during summer? Doesn't make sense.
