Actually, Walt DID have an apartment on Main Street, he just passed away before he ever got to stay in it. It's not on top of the firehouse either. Whoever wrote this should probably do more research.

I was told the same story about Walt having an apartment in Main Street during a Keys to the Kingdom tour. Was this part of their standard spiel?

I took the Keys to the Kingdom tour and they told us that Walt DID have an apartment on Main Street, the same as in Disneyland. Why would they lie to us about this?

The apartment at main street is a replica of his apartment at Disneyland but he never lived there as he did pass away before the park's opening. Either the cast member was confused or what they said wasn't clear.

My son just looked into the Haunted mansion myth. Not because someone told him this, but he asked us as he thought it looked an awful lot like WD!

Wasn't it Walt's expressed wish that NO ALCOHOl ever be served at Magic Kingdom? Watch in a few years every restaurant will have it. Shame what greed will do!

Patently not true. Walt started Club 33 in New Orleans Square at Disneyland and served alcohol there. It's a private club, but debunks that old chestnut about Walt not wanting booze in MK.

Thank you for that debunking especially about MK. I worked in adventureland/liberty square for almost ten years and those myths were starting to get to me.
