The cross creeps me out everytime I drive by on 84

First of all there is no bumper cars or anything like that, it was religious Sight, and why would you even say take a spray paint can and tag it, that is so disrespectful, I live near waterbury, I girl got killed and someone is trying to restore a mans dream of religion...

Cant belive no one has tagged this place all up I wish I could get a spray can as I read lol

Nothing says the lord like - peace, love, and bumper cars!

A 16 year old girl was murdered here in 2010...

I don't think anyone read this article. For one, it's Waterbury, CT. Two, it closed down due to repairs needed but the owner died in the process. It is worth restoring because it may give hope to those that have lost hope due things that occur in out daily lives. Also, a lot of misfortunes have been happening in Connecticut and this would be something very positive.

You know its kind of hard to have hope for humanity when people have to get all up in arms because someone made a comment about another theme park in Orlando. For heavens sake, yes we read the article, yes we know its in CT and yes we realize its in a state of disrepair. You are all being jerks. Grow up already.

Exactly Lori!
People need to CALM DOWN!

Holy shit !!

Interesting, and kinda creepy...my wife and I have joked about going to holyland in Orlando every time we visit disney or universal....I would be interested to see it, and this holyland!

I was just in Orlando with my daughter and every time we drove past it, we kind of joked about going there. It became sort of a landmark to help us find our hotel. She is going to school down there in the fall, and we decided that we have to check it out sometime too. It's on our bucket list.

Why are guys talking about Orlando? Did you read the article... this is in Connecticut.

Yes, we know it is in Connecticut. But there is another one that is actually open, that is in Orlando. And we have both commented that every time we drive by it we talk about going in. I was replying to them...Nothing to do with this park or with anyone else.

Please read the comments before you jump to conclusions BUDDY!
There is a place in a Orlando called HolyLand where you can visit and the people commenting about the place in Connecticut are saying they were unaware there was another place in the USA based on the HolyLand.
You are welcome.

I have a few friends that work at HolyLand Experience. A few are just villagers, one plays Jesus. It cracks me up. I went to visit them once. As an atheist, it was an interesting experience.

I've been to the one in Orlando. I recommend you see it at least once!

My goodness, how much will it cost to restore this property? Would it be worth it? I don't know the history of the park (specifically, why it closed down in the first place); are the owners going to open it up again as the same place? If that is so, it sure doesn't seem like a very wise move.
