Though 2019 saw the opening of a new land with Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge debuting at Disney's Hollywood Studios, this year saw more quite a few closures as well, including a long-running Epcot nighttime spectacular and a fan favorite entertainment offering. Here's everything we said goodbye to so far this year, and one attraction that is still yet to close for good
1. Innoventions East
Though Innoventions has been closing in phases over the past few years, this Epcot mainstay finally closed for good on September 8th. By this time, all that was left was just the Colortopia exhibit, but the end of Innventions really marked the end of an era at Epcot.
2. IllumiNations
September 30th was a bittersweet day for Epcot fans as the iconic IllumiNations nighttime spectacular officially closed on this date after a two decade run at this park. Directly after the end of this show, the brand new limited time Epcot Forever opened on October 1st, 2019, and will be succeeded in 2020 by HarmoniUS.
