Anyone visiting Disneyland Park can't fail to have a ride on the classic Matterhorn Bobsleds which opened back in 1959. Unfortunately the Matterhrn Bobsleds will be closed for refurbishment starting August 8.

The height of the summer does seem like a strange time to do a refurbishment on such a popular attraction. This leads us to think it may be for necessary maintenance rather than an annual refurbishment.

It currently doesn't state on the official website how long the Matterhorn Bobsleds will be closed for and just reads, "Please check back here for updates".

We hope this closure is a brief one at Disneyland Park and we assume Disney will do everything it can to get any work needed done as soon as possible.
