As we are in the middle of the summer months, the refurbishment list for the Orlando theme parks always diminishes. However, it has been announced that Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit at Universal Studios Florida will close for a brief refurbishment from August 14 - 18. 

We expect that Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit at Universal Studios Florida will reopen on August 19 and will keep you posted if this closure is extended for any reason.

For those of you who are not familiar with Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit, it is a rollercoaster which allows you to select your own song to listen to as you whizz around the track. You can simply select a song from the list that appears on your screen when you board at the beginning of the ride or for more options ask a team member for the secret playlist.

Not everyone will know this but on the popular rollercoaster, Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit at Universal Studios Florida, as well as the list of 30 readily available songs that show up on the screen when you board, there is also a secret playlist with additional songs that can be accessed if you know how.

Two new songs by Blink 182 were added to the secret playlist in March 2022. These two songs were "All The Small Things" which has the three-digit code 182 to access it and "What's My Age Again" which has the three-digit code 183.

Once you have the secret playlist, select your song and memorise the three-digit code. To access your chosen song including the two new Blink 182 songs then you will need to do the following when boarding the attraction:

1. First, pull down on the lap bar
2. Then, hold down the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit logo for 10 seconds and then let go
3. Finally, type in the three-digit number for the song of your choice and press “enter” on the number pad that appears
4. Enjoy the ride!
