The hype around the opening of the highly anticipated Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser has reached epic proportions in recent weeks as Disney desperately tried to fix the damage that was done in the first teaser video which was released back in November 2021, before the official launch.

The negative press was certainly not what Disney had expected or planned for. The initial reviews from those that were offered a preview were mixed and we have all been waiting for the launch which took place yesterday (March 1), to finally see for ourselves whether this immersive experience is worth the $4800+ price tag?

Disney Parks Blog has posted a whole host of photos of the inside of the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser including images of the Galactic Starcruiser Terminal, Main Deck Atrium, guests being greeted by resident droid SK-62O, sleeping berths, Sublight Lounge, The Chandrilla Collection boutique and not forgetting Bridge and Lightsaber training.

Disney have also released a video of actor and producer, Oscar Isaac's visit to the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser with Disney Imagineer, Scott Trowbridge which is embedded below. He talks about how authentic it feels when aboard and the positivity that comes from the ability of having different adventures.

I must admit I am by no means a die hard Star Wars fan but from seeing these photos and the video above, I am excited. If our two sons get into Star Wars I am sure the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser would be on our to-do list albeit with a lot of saving to be done first.

I guess in the coming weeks through the reviews online of guests who have been lucky enough to have visited the $4800+ two day experience it will become evident whether it is truly worth the hefty price tag. I was sceptical before now but I am definitely a step closer to believing that Disney might well have pulled it off.
