X-Flight was the second Bolliger & Mabillard Wing Rider roller coaster to open in the United States, following the debut of Wild Eagle at Dollywood earlier in 2012. It sees riders suspended on "wings" on either side of its trains, and replaced the former Iron Wolf coaster in the Country Fair area of Six Flags Great America.
The coaster's circuit features 5 inversions and a number of twists and drops, with riders hitting a top speed of 55 miles per hour. Included among its inversions are a barrel roll and a zero-g roll, while a unique element sees the ride's trains pass through a narrow vertical gap in a mock control tower. Fog effects and water jets are also employed to add to the ride experience.
