The Top 5 Restaurants at Disney’s Magic Kingdom

    Crystal Palace

Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom is packed with a wide variety of dining outlets, offering both fast food and more up-market options. With so many restaurants to choose from, it can be hard to decide where to satisfy your appetite.

Since we launched our theme park guides last year, we’ve kept a close eye on the ratings and reviews that our readers have given to restaurants at 90+ parks all over the globe. As we’re focusing on Disney’s Magic Kingdom as our “Park of the Month”, and to encourage more of our readers to rate the park’s offerings, here’s a rundown of the top 5 restaurants at the park.

    5. Crystal Palace

    Crystal Palace

Located at the heart of the Magic Kingdom, the Crystal Palace’s glass halls welcome weary travellers after their wander up Main Street, USA. Inside, they will find an all-you-can-eat buffet, offering a wide variety of dishes.

Recently outfitted with characters from Winnie The Pooh, this dining experience is still classic and offers a new way to interact with old favorites. Early reservation is encouraged.

    4. Tortuga Tavern

    Tortuga Tavern

Recently updated to tie its theme in with the neighbouring Pirates of the Caribbean attraction, the Tortuga Tavern is a Mexican restaurant that offers typical fare such as tacos and burritos. Don’t miss the delectable triple chocolate cake, either.

    3. Liberty Tree Tavern

    Liberty Tree Tavern

Reasonably priced for a Walt Disney World restaurant, the Liberty Tree Tavern is (predictably) housed next to its namesake in Liberty Square. It offers up hearty and filling New England-style lunches, including roast turkey and open-faced sandwiches. Expect to be stuffed to the gills when you leave.

    2. Cinderella’s Royal Table

There can be few finer settings for a restaurant than the inside of the Magic Kingdom’s Cinderella Castle, where guests can dine at Cinderella’s Royal Table. While it is comfortably the most expensive dining outlet at the park, it has the added appeal of placing guests alongside their favourite Disney princesses.

Each prix fixe meal comes with a souvenir photo, and early reservations are essential.

    1. Be Our Guest

Added as part of the New Fantasyland expansion work, Be Our Guest is also housed inside a castle – in this case, the Beast’s castle from Beauty and the Beast. Unusually, it offers quick service dining during the day, before switching to a full table service in the evening. The restaurant’s 550 seats are spread across the castle’s ballroom, gallery and “west wing”, all of which are designed to resemble locations seen in the movie.

Disney breaks with traditional theme park counter service setups at Be Our Guest, with guests able to order from terminals. However, staff are also be on hand to take cash orders. Instead of being served in cardboard packaging, food is brought to guests’ tables on china. Dinner is a more expensive option at the restaurant, with specialities including pork rack chop with au gratin pasta, salmon in leek fondue and grilled strip steak. A range of sweet desserts, including chocolate cream puff and a variety of cupcakes, are also on offer.
