Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is only a few months old, but already some interesting changes are coming to this land at both Disneyland and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. From price changes to menu alterations and even some new additions, here’s everything changing at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge that you might not have noticed!
1. Docking Bay 7 menu removes Star Wars-inspired names at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Though we’ve previously lauded how Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge separates itself from the rest of Disney’s Hollywood Studios, it looks like some of the ways this land made itself feel like part of a galaxy far, far away may have been a bit confusing for guests.
Quick service eatery Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo recently updated its menu to feature more straightforward food names. So, instead of wondering what Braised Shaak Roast, Smoked Kaadu Ribs or Roasted Endorian Tip-Yip Salad are, guests can now simply order Beef Pot Roast, Smoked Pork Ribs or a Roasted Chicken Salad.
Though the previous menu did have detailed descriptions of the food, we’re guessing that guest confusion (especially among international visitors) is the impetus behind this change at the Disney’s Hollywood Studios version of this land (note: the Star Wars-inspired names are still being used at Disneyland).
2. Oga’s Cantina gets a price hike at Disneyland
And speaking of Disneyland, the west coast version of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge has gotten a bit of a price hike, as Oga’s Cantina has recently raised the price of alcoholic beverages by $1, with the price of beer going by up $2 and the Rancor Flight price going up by $10. These higher prices are actually already in effect at the east coast Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, and these Disneyland hikes simply bring the prices in line with those at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
3. 60-day advance reservations now available for Oga’s Cantina, Savi’s Workship and Droid Depot at Disneyland
Beginning next week on October 21, guests wanting to visit Oga’s Cantina, Savi’s Workshop and Droid Depot at Disneyland can book advance reservations up to 60 days in advance, bringing the reservation window for these experiences in line with other experiences at the resort. Note: Reservations for Oga’s Cantina, Savi’s Workshop and the Droid Depot at Disney’s Hollywood Studios can be made 180 days in advance, so visitors to Batuu east still have a lot more time to plan these experiences than those on the west coast.
4. New menu items now available at Disneyland
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge has been open for almost six months now at Disneyland park, and in an effort to keep hungry fans coming back to this location, five new items have been added to the menu at various locations around the west coast Batuu:
- At Oga’s Cantina, a new charcuterie plate will join the menu: the Happabore Sampler featuring a selection of cured meats, artisan cheeses, pickled and preserved rations, and crackers.
- If you’re picking up a shipment at Docking Bay 7 Food & Cargo, you’ll definitely want to try the new Garden Patty Bun! This new kid’s meal features a bao bun, roasted carrots, house sauce and an orange.
- A new Ronto-less Garden Wrap coming to Ronto Roasters featuring plant-based sausage, spicy kimchi slaw, sweet pickled cucumber and Gochujang spread all wrapped in pita.
- Also being added to the Ronto Roaster menu is Kyryll Pork Rinds with cinnamon-sugar served in a MSE-6 Series Repair Droid souvenir vessel.
- At Kat Saka’s Kettle, you’ll soon be able to snack on chocolate popcorn with Crait Red Salt (this salt comes from Crait, the now-uninhabited red mineral world dusted by a layer of white salt which reflects the planet’s sunlight.)
5. New menu items coming to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios too:
Though not as extensive as the additions to the menu at Disneyland, Disney’s Hollywood Studios also has some new additions at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge:
- “Meat” Marinara + Pasta: A new vegan kids’ dish with pasta with Impossible-branded “meat” marinara sauce
- Green Popcorn: Though you can still get the fruity Outpost Mix at the Disney’s Hollywood Studios Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, you can also now get an off-menu green popcorn, which is essentially just regular butter-flavor popcorn with green food coloring
