UPDATE November 6 – After hearing a rumor last week regarding the potential names of the two new headlining attractions in classic Monsters land, we now hear another rumor about the proposed spinning coaster.
Screamscape has reported that according to a source the spinning coaster model could now have been changed and many may not think for the better. The spinning coaster which is rumored to be called “The Curse of the Werewolf” was originally thought to be using a launched spinning coaster from Mack Rides, with many assuming it would be from Mack’s “Xtreme Spinning Coaster” line. This has been used for Time Traveler at Silver Dollar City and can be seen in the video below.
The latest rumor is that instead of using the Mack’s “Xtreme Spinning Coaster”, Universal may have chosen the different spinning coaster system which many feel has a more cramped ride restraint for adults. This system has been used on Cobra’s Curse at Busch Gardens Tampa.
There is also the option for Universal to use the same spinning coaster system from Mack which they used on Space Fantasy at Universal Studios Japan.
Which ride system do you hope Universal uses for the rumored “The Curse of the Werewolf” in classic monsters land at Epic Universe? We will keep you up to date on further announcements regarding this on our news and Facebook page.
November 2 – One of the most exciting new lands coming to Epic Universe in 2025 is Classic Monsters. We are keeping up to date with the latest developments and a tweet from Bioreconstruct on October 9 shows a recent overview of the layout of the land.
We can see that a roller coaster and featured attraction are expected to be included in the Classic Monsters land as well as a restaurant.

According to Screamscape, it seems that the names for the two headlining attractions have been revealed. The big E-ticket dark ride is currently expected to be called “Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment” and the new spinning coaster is expected to be named “The Curse of the Werewolf”. The European themed village itself will be named, “Village of Darkmoor”.
Now, just to clarify, nothing has been officially announced by Universal regarding the names of the attractions. This is information that Screamsacpe has got from a source which is why we have labelled this as a rumor.
