What can I possibly say about Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey. Regardless of the fact that I am a Harry Potter fan myself, this ride is truly amazing. It all starts as you stare up to the life size version of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry that stands before you. A place to take lots of photographs. As you enter the queue, you realise that this is no ordinary queue. The whole queue is probably the longest I have seen and is all Harry Potter themed, practically like you are walking through the real castle. You start downstairs where you put your items in a 'magical' locker. You swiftly move onto the greenhouses where herbology lessons would take place. You wander through the corridors to find Dumbledore's office, the mirror of erised, potions classroom, the fat lady and of course the sorting hat. Without giving too much away you encounter lots of talking portraits who you may listen on their conversation, see extremely realistic holograms of the characters and have a little magic sprinkled upon your head if you stand in the classroom long enough. And this is all before you have even got on the ride. The ride vehicle itself is something unique, the vehicles are in rows and you get on to it via a moving walkway. The bars come down and then you sweep off into the air. Again, I won't give too much away but what you see, hear and feel is very amazing, all Harry Potter fans will recognise the characters and creatures you will encounter. It is a ride like no other and must be experienced before you can truly understand how great it is!
