Ok, who's ready to bust some ghosts?

Well, if you think your chance is going to come by riding the "Boo Blasters on Boo Hill" attraction at Carowinds Amusement Park on the border of NC/SC......I'd guess again.

If you have ever had the opportunity to visit Disney World's Magic Kingdom and ride "Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin", then you'd be familiar with the formula of this ride......and you'd find yourself wishing you were there instead of on this attraction at Carowinds.

The crux of this attraction is that you're in a car (two rows, narrowly holding two riders each) and you're making your way through a haunted manor armed with your lazer blaster and trying to strike the little blue light targets on the ghostly figures so that you can rack up your score (as shown on the display in your car) and beat the other riders once the ride comes to an end.

So why is this ride really NOT worth your time?

Simply put, it's as lame as it could possibly be. For one thing, you cannot see the lazers as they are shot from your gun, so you have no idea how close or far your aim really is from the target you THINK you're shooting at. For another, there are no surprises here that might give you extra points if you happen to hit it. So when you think about it, how much fun could it even really be? The answer: little to none.

The only fun this attraction might bring is to the very little kids easily entertained by the thought of zapping things with a ray gun, and even then the fun is all in their imagination and not in the ride itself.

Carowinds should be ashamed at how shoddy and lame a ride this really is.
