For years I had heard about Holiday World, but I had never made my way over to the park (six hours away).

When the park added Giraffica and then their water coasters a few years later, I set a date up to make sure that I got to experience all of the new rides and the legendary coasters at the park.

While the park itself was simple, the true treat exists in the water attractions. Giraffica is now one of three key attractions in the Splashin Safari water park.

The unique lift system that lifts straight up is an interesting experience for any first-time rider. The boat tilts slightly, so as you are going straight up, your heart rate might increase slightly.

When you finally reach the top of the drop, the view is a great look at the rest of the park. The drop itself is amazing for a water ride, and the following waterfall that is sent into the air is one of the neater displays by a water ride of this type.
