One of the best theme park train experiences!

Take a ride through the "African Velt" aboard the Serengeti Express, with stations in Nairobi, Congo, and Stanleyville. A round trip excursion takes around 45 minutes.

Grab the train at Nairobi Station which is closest to the main entrance of the park, Edge Of Africa, Egypt featuring Montu, and Crown Colony plaza where you can board the Sky Ride, or experience the Cheetah Hunt roller coaster.

Upon departure, you pass by and see great views of the above mentioned attractions, and receive a bit of information about them as well.

After passing Egypt, home of the Montu roller coaster, the train enters into the Velt containing what seems to be hundreds of "free roaming" animals! Zebras, giraffes, antelope, gazelles, etc. Be on alert at all times, as animals can be anywhere. Trains do pause when animals cross in front.

The journey from the Nairobi Station ends about 10 to 15 minutes later at the Congo Station. Congo is home to Congo River Rapids, Jungala, Bumper Cars, and Kumba.

You may exit in Congo, or continue the journey to Stanleyville. Stanleyville is home to Tidal Wave, Stanley Falls Log Flume, and SheiKra, America's first dive coaster.

I suggest exiting the train here and grabbing a bite to eat and the Zambia Smokehouse! The Sampler Platter is the way to go!

Continuing on the train from Stanleyville, you will pass the Timbuktu (TBT) area of the park. TBT is home to 2 roller coasters, a looping cargo ship, a very beautiful African themed carousel, children rides, and games of skill.

Once you round the bend past TBT, you will reenter the Velt. The train makes it's way around the Rhino Rally off road attraction, and back to the Nairobi Station.

Such a great experience each time. Highly recommend!
