Review

When it comes to mid-Florida amusement park entertainment, Disney will always reign supreme (to me), but coming very close behind is Universal Studios. Their two parks in the Orlando area: Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure houses a number of amazing rides and attractions.

One of the best attractions out of either park is the tall, fast, wild, long.....and green (of course)......Incredible Hulk roller coaster. Located in the Marvel Super Hero Island area of Islands of Adventure, the ride is based on the long-time popular Marvel Comics superhero, The Incredible Hulk. In a lot of ways, the ride itself feels almost as wild and untameable as the Hulk itself.

The coaster starts off with a literal bang.....a 40 mph acceleration in 2 seconds to blast you out the opening into the bright Florida sunlight with the wind whipping through your hair and everyone's screams around you filling the air.

The Incredible Hulk Coaster has a maximum height of 110 ft, a 105 ft drop, a top speed of 67 mph, and lasts for a terrific 2 minutes, 15 seconds (a decent ride time compared to many of today's all-too-short coasters). With its seemingly endless supply of corkscrew turns, cobra rolls, and vertical loops, it truly is an exhilirating experience worth doing over and over again.

I love this coaster, it's one of my favorites, and my only negatives with it are that I don't live close enough to ride it more often, and.....that it always tends to make me black out for a few seconds during the middle of the ride. It's an uncomfortable feelings, but not one that would stop my riding it.
