Sequoia Lodge is an amazingly themed hotel, but some of the things they do let them down. The way they serve breakfast (at the start of the trip you pick what time you want it) isn't very helpful to the customers as most people don't want to plan what time they have breakfast. What is good though, is that they don't really check what time your card says, unless it as at one of the peak breakfast times. Once, we forgot to book dinner, it was snowing outside and only one restaurant was open, they turned us away, so we had to walk all the way over to Newport Bay, which isn't that far, but it was freezing outside and we were tired and hungry after a day in the park.
Sequoia Lodge has a brilliant swimming pool, with an indoor and outdoor section, a hot tub, and a slide. Most of the time the pool is good, but I turned up once and they had ran out of towels, so we had to walk back into the hotel (the pool is in a separate building) go back to the room, and get towels, we were not impressed!
One last problem is that all the rooms are so far away, so when you arrive, be prepared for a long walk, or book a room with a lake view.
Overall, the hotel is good, not what you would expect from the price you pay, but its Disney and everything is expensive.
