Review

This is based on the Grand Floridian Hotel, which itself is apparently modelled after the Coronado Hotel in San Diego. Lovely.

The first time I stayed here was amazing; the second not so much. Maybe the staff were more surly.

Why isn't there a section for the restaurants in the hotel?

Walt's cafe - decent food, good for tea, Disney prices so it isn't that cheap. But nice atmosphere overlooking the maze and with sea views.

Enchanted garden restaurant - character meet breakfast is amazing. Disney themed buffet food (Mickey mini pancakes!) was good, and the characters come round to your tables for photos. Amazing.

Crystal Lotus - where they serve the amazing Disney dim sum. They say you have to book in advance and honestly, why can't they get their act together - I have tried twice and only way to do so seems to be to call. A pain for overseas visitors. Do reserve, they apparently won't entertain you if you request for it when you check in on weekdays. This ruined my 2nd visit.
