Twentieth Century Fox has announced plans to open a new theme park in Malaysia in 2016, featuring rides and attractions based on its most famous movie franchises.

The new park will replace the existing Genting Theme Park, which is to close on September 1, 2013 to allow construction work to begin. Resorts World is investing $125 million to transform the 25-acre park, which will feature experiences based on Ice Age, Rio, Night at the Museum, Alien, Predator and Life of Pi.
