4. Will TRON Lightcycle / Run operate when there is bad weather?

Image: Disney

Florida weather can be unpredictable, and considering part of the track for TRON Lightcycle / Run is visible outside, its reasonable to wonder if this attraction will be able to operate in the rain. Fortunately, because the track is under a large canopy, Blog Mickey reports that Cast Members are telling guests that the attraction will run no matter what the weather conditions are, which is great news for those visiting Walt Disney World during the upcoming rainy season.

5. Are there any differences between the Walt Disney World version of TRON Lightcycle / Run and the one at Shanghai Disneyland?

Aside from the language differences, Walt Disney World's version of TRON Lightcycle / Run is identical to the original attraction in Shangai Disneyland. This means, like its counterpart in Shangai, TRON Lightcycle / Run will have a top speed of 60 MPH, making it one of the fastest Disney attractions of all time, and the overall ride time will be around two minutes long, making it a quick ride as well.

6. What is the height restriction for TRON Lightcycle / Run?

TRON Lightcycle / Run, like other thrill rides at Walt Disney World, carries a height restriction of 48 inches. Cast Members near the front of the ride will be making sure all guests who enter the queue for this attraction meet this height requirement before proceeding into the building.

7. Where can I store my personal items while on the ride?

Unlike other attractions at Walt Disney World, TRON Lightcycle / Run does not have onboard storage for personal items like backpacks or purses. Fortunately, Disney has announced that TRON Lightcycle / Run will use a double-sided locker system for guests to store their personal belongings while they ride. This system will be very similar to the one found next-door at the Velocicoaster at Universal Orlando Resort, and will allow guests to access their items with their ticket media (phone, MagicBand, etc.). Guests without a MagicBand or other ticket media (such as a card) will be provided with a card to assign their locker. This ride will be the first at Walt Disney World that uses complimentary lockers to store loose items.
