The Disney 100 Years of Wonder Celebration is now just around the corner. The event kicks off today (January 27), at Disneyland Resort and fans eagerly await the opening of Disneyland Park's own version of Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway. 

Disney has just released a number of photos of the queue line for Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway which can be seen in the tweet below by reporter, Scott Gustin.

It was announced last week that when this new attraction opens at the start of the celebrations on January 27, it will have a virtual queue line only. That's right there will be no standby queue. This has become the norm for Disney when opening new attractions in recent years and was the same for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, Ratatouille and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. We also expect this system to be in place when TRON Lightcycle / Run opens on April 4.

Guests will need to use the Disneyland App to enter this virtual queue. Individual Lightning Lane will also be available to purchase. Disney has confirmed that there will be two opportunities to join the virtual queue:

• Morning - guests must have a valid ticket and park reservation for Disneyland Park. Confirm your designated party beginning at 6:00AM and then check in for an available boarding group from 7:00AM.
• Afternoon - guests must have entered Disneyland Park with a one-park ticket or California Adventure Park with a Park Hopper ticket. Confirm your designated party at noon and then check in for an available boarding pass beginning at 1:00PM.

Guests will only be allowed one virtual queue access per day for Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway.

Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway will be housed inside the El CapiTOON Theater located in CenTOONial Park at the entrance of the newly overhauled Mickey's Toontown which is set to open on March 8, 2023.

The new attraction will put you in the wacky and unpredictable cartoon world of Mickey and Minnie, where you’ll board a train with Goofy as the engineer. "One magical moment after the next leads you to a zany, out-of-control adventure filled with surprising twists and turns that the entire family will enjoy!"

There has been speculation online that Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway will be closed during the evening firework displays. "Fantasmic!" and the new night-time spectacular, "Wondrous Journeys" are set to be performed most nights in Disneyland park.
