6. Splash Mountain (Magic Kingdom)

Dates: January 22, 2023 - Permanent

Splash Mountain at Disney's Magic Kingdom will officially close at the end of Sunday January 22, 2023 in order to begin its extensive transformation to Tiana's Bayou Adventure. News of this closure will come as sad news to Splash Mountain fans especially as many assumed Disney would keep it open until the end of the 50th Anniversary celebrations which ends of March 31.

7. Disney's Typhoon Lagoon

Dates: November 13 - TBA 

Disney's Typhoon Lagoon had its last day on the season on Saturday, November 12 and is now closed for its annual refurbishment.

We expected that this would be the plan, to close Disney's Typhoon Lagoon when Blizzard Beach reopened and that is exactly what Disney chose to do. We currently don't have a date for when we will see Disney's Typhoon Lagoon reopening but a recent rumor suggests a possible February reopening but nothing has been confirmed on this just yet. We are certainly hoping that early in 2023 we will see both Walt Disney World water parks up and running again together!

8. For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration (Disney's Hollywood Studios)

Status: Confirmed

Dates: January 9 - 27, 2023

For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration at Disney's Hollywood Studios was set to close for refurbishment from August 22 - September 9. Disney has now made the decision to postpone this refurbishment until the beginning of 2023. It now reads on the official website page, "From January 9 to January 27, 2023, For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration will be closed for routine refurbishment."

It has been confirmed that Olaf will join the finale of For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration as part of the holiday season this December.

9. Harmonious (EPCOT)

Status: Confirmed

Dates: April 3, 2023 - Permanent

We heard back in September 2022 at the D23 Expo that Harmonious will be replaced by an all-new night time show after having debuted for the 50th anniversary last September. Disney has now announced that Harmonious will be performed for the last time on April 2.

10. Disney's Enchantment (Magic Kingdom)

Status: Confirmed

Dates: April 3, 2023 - Permanent

The 50th anniversary celebrations at Walt Disney World brought with it a brand-new night time spectacular at Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Enchantment, which was immediately met with mixed responses from guests, leaving many hoping to eventually see Happily Ever After return to Cinderella castle. Following Happily Ever After's final performance in September 2021, the general consensus among parks fans has been that Enchantment falls somewhat short when it comes to capturing the same magic as its predecessor.

We now have confirmation that Disney's Enchantment will have its last show on April 2 making way for the return of Happily Ever After on April 3.
