Happily Ever After at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom

Back in September 2022, it didn’t take long for the Parks, Experiences and Products panel at D23 Expo to drop its first official announcement that the much-loved night time show, "Happily Ever After" would officially return to the Magic Kingdom in 2023.

Disney fans who loved "Happily Ever After" will be very excited that this fan-favorite nighttime spectacular has now returned  to the Magic Kingdom. It is performed each evening at 9:00PM. This time is subject to change so be sure to check the official calendar here for the date of your visit.

Happily Ever After had its opening night on April 3 and for anyone who wasn't lucky enough to be there and wanted to see what is in store, you can check out the video embedded below posted by wdwmagic.com.

The 50th anniversary celebrations at Walt Disney World brought with it a brand-new night time spectacular at Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Enchantment, which was immediately met with mixed responses from guests, leaving many hoping to eventually see Happily Ever After return to Cinderella castle. Following Happily Ever After's final performance in September 2021, the general consensus among parks fans has been that Enchantment falls somewhat short when it comes to capturing the same magic as its predecessor.

Could Happily Ever After’s return be a sign that Disney are finally beginning to listen to guests and taking fan demand into account? Though this may have most certainly been the plan all along, the requests for Happily Ever After’s return have likely been hard to ignore, as this was arguably one of the most hoped-for announcements from the D23 Expo and I am certainly amongst the majority that cannot wait to see Happily Ever After make its long-awaited return to the parks.

Disney's Enchantment saw its last performance last night (April 2), extending slightly after when Walt Disney World wrapped up their 50th anniversary celebrations on March 31. "EPCOT Forever" will also return today to the World Showcase Lagoon for a limited time.
