We have all been waiting since Walt Disney World reopened after the theme park shut downs due to COVID-19 in July 2020 for the Disney Dining Plan to return and perhaps more importantly news that the Dining Program will be offered for free with select Walt Disney World vacation packages. At the end of June 2021 it was announced that Disney would bring back the Disney Dining Plan but still no return date has been confirmed.
Well, we unfortunately don't have news of free dining plans but according to a number of articles posted online it is rumored that starting today, January 5, Disney will be offering a dining promo card to guests up to the value of $750 when booking select vacation packages in 2023.
It is believed that guests booking a minimum 4-night stay with at least 4-days of tickets could be eligible. A similar dining promotion was offered in 2022. This dining promotion will be available when booking a visit from June 25th, 2023 to September 14th, 2023 and the amount you receive will be dependant on the number of nights of your stay and the hotel selected.
It is important to understand that one dining promo card will be issued per reservation and will be emailed to the lead guests after check-in. It will contain a bar code which can be scanned at participating restaurants and can be added to Google or Apple wallets on your phone but will not be able to be attached to MagicBand or MagicBand+. It can be used for mobile ordering by entering the number of the gift card into My Disney Experience App.
For further details visit the Walt Disney World website and we will update you with more information as and when it is announced.
