It has now been announced that the new MagicBand+ will debut at Disneyland Resort this Fall. We currently don't have an exact date but Disney fans are certainly a step closer to getting their hands on the MagicBand+.
MagicBand+ launched at Walt Disney World at the end of July. The MagicBand+ has smart features including color-changing LED lights, vibrations and gesture recognition.
The MagicBand+ at Disneyland Resort will be very similar to the Walt Disney World MagicBand+ and can be paired to a smartphone device through the Disneyland App to unlock a number of personalisation options such as lighting colors and vibration settings. Guests will also be able to connect their MagicBand+ to theme park tickets, Magic Key Pass and Lightning Lane as well as Disney PhotoPass.
At Disneyland Resort your MagicBand+ will sync and come to life during "World of Color" in Disney California Adventure and "Fantasmic!" and other nighttime shows at Disneyland Park.
Guests will also be able to play like a bounty hunter in a galaxy far, far away and find virtual bounties throughout Black Spire Outpost in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland Park.
Disney promises further experiences for MagicBand+ in the future alongside the ones already announced. MagicBand+ will come in a range of colors and designs. We are currently unsure of the exact prices for MagicBand+ when they launch at Disneyland Resort. At Walt Disney World the standard MagicBand+ went on sale for $34.99 back at the end of July so we expect a price very close to this.
Disney has released a video showing all the specific features of the MagicBand+ which is coming this Fall to Disneyland Resort. This is embedded below.
We will update you on the specific launch date for the MagicBand+ at Disneyland Resort as soon as it is announced as well as the price and any further specific details on our news and Facebook page. Are you excited that MagicBand+ is coming to Disneyland? Will you be purchasing one?
