Universal Studios Japan Is Closed Today Due To Typhoon Nanmadol

Due to Typhoon Nanmadol which has now hit Japan, where millions of people have been told to evacuate, Universal Studios Japan closed early yesterday at 3PM.

Universal Studios Japan will also be closed for the whole of today, Tuesday September 20 and is due to reopen at 9AM on Wednesday September 21, 2022.

For the safety of our guests and crew members , Universal Studios Japan will be closed on Tuesday, September 20th.
In addition, the Park will close at 3:00PM (subject to change without notice) on Monday, September 19th.

The reason for this closure is in order to ensure the safety of Universal Team Members and guests during this period of extreme weather. It also stated that refund information would be posted on the official website for those guests who had pre-purchased tickets for Tuesday September 20.
