Disney parks are constantly changing their refurbishment schedules, making it difficult for guests to keep up with the operating times and latest news regarding their favorite attractions, resorts, shops, and restaurants. Here are a few big, upcoming changes that are either confirmed by their respective parks or at the least very strongly rumored for the very near future.

In August, the popular Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Disney's Magic Kingdom reopened and Disney has changed the refurbishment dates for, For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration.

In this month's refurbishment update we continue to wait for news on a reopening date for Fantasmic and the Walt Disney World railroad. At EPCOT we still have a closure due to the ongoing International Food & Wine Festival and we await news on the rumors that one experience and one show may never return to Walt Disney World...

1. Walt Disney World Railroad (Magic Kingdom)

Status: Confirmed

Dates: Now - TBA

Walt Disney World Railroad has been closed since the end of 2018 and though there haven't been any official updates on the refurbishment of this attraction, with the delay of the TRON Lightcycle / Run, it looks like this closure could last for some time longer. Currently there is no opening date projected for this attraction, but it had been predicted that TRON Lightcycle / Run would likely open as part of Walt Disney World 50th anniversary celebrations, which are set to conclude in March 2023.

In July, Disney released a video on TikTok of the Walt Disney World Railroad which could hint at a reopening soon which means we hopefully haven't got too much longer to wait until the Walt Disney World Railroad rolls again.

Though it has been several years since the Walt Disney World Railroad has operated, many months ago Disney shared an image of the newly refurbished Walter E. Disney Engine 1, which you can see above.

2. Enchanted Tales with Belle (Magic Kingdom)

Status: Confirmed

Dates: Now -  TBA

One of the biggest attractions that has yet to return to operation after Walt Disney World's shutdown is Enchanted Tales with Belle. And though this attraction is still listed as temporarily unavailable on Walt Disney World's official website, late last year Disney filed a permit for “general construction”, which could mean that work is being done inside this attraction to get it ready for a reopening in the near future.

Nothing has been confirmed yet and the attraction is still stating 'No times available' on the official calendar up until July 30, but with so many entertainment options reopening in 2022, it would be unfortunate if Enchanted Tales With Belle was left out, especially since it sounds like work is going on at this attraction behind the scenes.

3. Disney's Enchantment (Magic Kingdom)

Status: Confirmed

Dates: (Select nights when Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party takes place) Now - October 31, 2022

Currently on the official Walt Disney World page it shows Disney's Enchantment as only being performed on certain nights and this is because of Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. If you are visiting Disney's Magic Kingdom and are wanting to catch Disney's Enchantment then be sure to check on the official page before you go.

4. The American Adventure (EPCOT)

Status: Confirmed

Dates: September 19 - TBA

We have now seen on the official Walt Disney World website that the American Adventure at EPCOT isn't currently showing any performances from Monday September 19 onwards. We are assuming this closure is for annual maintenance and refurbishment. We are unsure when the American Adventure will reopen but we will update this article as soon as there is further information available.
