UPDATE September 16 - Disney is going to have to pull off an absolutely amazing feat with the reimaginig of Splash Mountain in order to have any chance of winning over the majority of Disney fans who still aren't on board with the retheming of the iconic attraction to Tiana's Bayou Adventure.
We got the first proper glimpse of what Tiana's Bayou Adventure will look like from a model at D23 last weekend. Splash Mountain fans are still not impressed with 86% of people voting "no" to the question, After seeing the first look at Tiana's Bayou Adventure are you now on board?
It certainly doesn't seem that opinion is improving towards Tiana's Bayou Adventure. From the image above, I personally like the fact that I can still see the essence and heart of Splash Mountain there which is hugely positive. I understand though that many will disagree with me. I guess we will just have to wait and see the reaction from Disney fans when Tiana's Bayou Adventure opens in late 2024. September 10 - The extensive reimagining of Splash Mountain to Tiana's Bayou Adventure which was originally announced back in 2020, has been highly contentious amongst Disney fans. Yesterday at the D23 Expo, Disney revealed a first look at what we can expect from Tiana's Bayou Adventure when it opens in 2024.
We understand many fans of Splash Mountain are against the reimagining and believe Splash Mountain should be left alone. We also understand that numerous guests think that Tiana needs her own unique attraction.
However, having seen the first look which is shown in the image above, we are interested in what Disney fans now think about this reimagining? I must admit I am personally impressed with the details and the overall look. I trust Disney will do an amazing job but what do you think?
With only 24% of people voting that they think Tiana's Bayou Adventure is a good name and only 15% of people thinking Splash Mountain should be rethemed at all, we are now asking you, after seeing the first look at Tiana's Bayou Adventure are you now on board?
