Disney's Hollywood Studios, DIsney

It has been a very strange couple of years at Walt Disney World, as it has been across the world due to COVID-19, and some changes which were put in place when the theme parks reopened in 2020 are only now being returned to normal.

Hollywood & Vine which is located in Echo Lake at Disney's Hollywood Studios, is set to change back to offering the full buffet style experience for guests on August 28. Currently the restaurant offers family-style dining.

Hollwood & Vine has the Disney Junior Play n' Dine Breakfast ($42 per adult plus tax, $27 per child, 3-9, plus tax) and Minnie's Seasonal Dining at Lunch ($55 per adult plus tax, $36 per child, 3-9, plus tax) and Dinner ($55 per adult plus tax, $36 per child, 3-9, plus tax) available for guests to book. To dine at this restaurant guests must have a confirmed dining reservation for the total number of guests (regardless of age), as well as a park reservation and valid admission for the same park on that same date for each guest aged 3 and up.

Walt Disney World currently offers two types of all-you-care-to-eat options: Buffet and Family Style. It seems to be the case that more and more restaurants are now returning to the pre-pandemic buffet style including Cape May Café, Boma, and Crystal Palace. Hollywood & Vine will join this list as of August 28.

There are still many other Walt Disney World restaurants like Chef Mickey’s, Tusker House, Ohana, and Trail’s End which still offer their food family style when previously they offered buffets.

We are expecting to see more restaurants return to offering full buffet style dining in the future and we will update you with further details on this as and when they are announced.

Cape May has not, in my opinion, returned to anything like they were before covid. Presently the crab legs (which use to be included in the buffet) are a $29 add on, additionally the offerings are nowhere near as numerous. Not to mention that the desert options are not as robust as before.
