Red Carpet, Disney

On April 18, character meet and greets returned to Walt Disney World and Disneyland. The popular, Meet Disney Stars at Red Carpet Dreams, located in Commissary Lane at Disney's Hollywood Studios reopened after being shuttered since park closures due to COVID-19 in March 2020.

When Meet Disney Stars at Red Carpet Dreams reopened on April 18 it was added to Genie+ selection giving guests who chose to purchase Genie+ the opportunity to skip the line for this popular experience. Disney has now made the decision to cut this attraction from the Genie+ line up starting today, meaning the only way to experience Meet Disney Stars at Red Carpet Dreams will be to get in the standby queue. This can be seen in the current line up for Genie+ as seen on the official website.

This will be extremely disappointing news for guests visiting Disney's Hollywood Studios but the following character meet and greet offerings are still available in the Genie+ selections:

  • Meet Cinderella and a Visiting Princess at Princess Fairytale Hall (Magic Kingdom)
  • Meet Mickey at Town Square Theater (Magic Kingdom)
  • Meet Princess Tiana and a Visiting Princess at Princess Fairytale Hall (Magic Kingdom)
  • Meet Olaf at Celebrity Spotlight (Disney's Hollywood Studios)

In Meet Disney Stars at Red Carpet Dreams, guests get to see Minnie Mouse show off her beautiful gown while Mickey appears as the Sorcerer's Apprentice from Fantasia.
