Fantasmic, Disney

UPDATE October 26 - Anybody who has visited Disney's Hollywood Studios would have surely seen the billboard in the park which advertises Fantasmic! Well, in preparation for the return of the iconic show, this billboard has been changed.

This new design still features Mickey as the sorcerer and the dragon but it appears in darker colors and has a different font which makes it looks more retro. A photo has been shared on reddit which is embedded below. Do you like the look of this new billboard? Has Disney made the right decision to replace it? October 20 - We heard back in May that the Pocahontas scene from Fantasmic! would be replaced by a scene which would be slightly longer and would contain technical enhancements. The Disney characters which were expected to be seen were listed as Pocahontas, Mulan, Elsa, Aladdin and Moana with each getting their own time to shine within the sequence.

With the recent news that Fantasmic! will be returning to Disney's Hollywood Studios on November 3, it has led us all to wonder exactly what this new scene will look like. Well, in a tweet yesterday from reporter Scott Gustin, this can been confirmed as it was stated that Disney says that Fantasmic! will be getting a new heroes sequence featuring a "high-energy Aladdin chase with stunts never seen on the “Fantasmic!” stage, a powerful scene with Elsa set to “Show Yourself” that is sure to thaw the most frozen of hearts, and stirring moments with Pocahontas, Moana and Mulan."

This new sequence definitely sounds like an amazing and exciting addition to Fantasmic! and perhaps explains the reason why the show is now expected to be slightly longer at 29 minutes rather than the original 26 minutes. Are you excited to see a new show sequence for Fantasmic!?

May 5 - Although there still hasn't been news of the exact date of when Fantasmic! will return to Disney's Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World, reporter Scott Gustin has posted information regarding a new show sequence on twitter.

This new show sequence which will replace the current Pocahontas scene is set to be slightly longer, contain technical enhancements and will feature the following characters; Pocahontas, Mulan, Elsa, Aladdin and Moana with each getting their own time to shine within the sequence. You can see the tweet which is embedded below.

Walt Disney World fans may had been disappointed by the news at the start of April that the moat which had been filled in March had been drained again. We now know that the moat has once again been refilled with water and some of the stage equipment has been set up in anticipation of a reopening in the near future.  With Fantasmic! at Disneyland returning in just a few short weeks on May 28 we have been hoping to hear news of when Fantasmic! will be returning to Orlando.

News of a new show scene is indeed a positive step forward and we hope to have news of a return date for Fantasmic! at Disney's Hollywood Studios very soon. Let us know your thoughts on this new scene which is planned for Fantasmic! by leaving us a comment below or on our Facebook page.
