Bruno Encanto, Disney

UPDATE June 20 - It has long been rumored that an attraction based on the extremely popular 2021 film, Encanto, is coming to Walt Disney World. Well, in a recent post on Twitter by reporter Scott Gustin, it looks like Walt Disney World are looking to hire actors to play the role of Bruno.

As you can see, Disney is "seeking performers to portray Bruno from the animated film, Encanto." Now, although this may get excitement up for all those Encanto fans, the listing does say that the role would be for "potential future special events." So, whilst this may not be the news we all want to hear of a new attraction coming to the resort, it is certainly a step in the right direction.

We will watch this space and update you on further Encanto related news as soon as anything is announced. Do you want to see Bruno coming to Walt Disney World? Should Disney add an Encanto attraction? Let us know your thoughts by leaving us a comment below or on our Facebook page.

May 20 - The Walt Disney Company (DIS) Management Presents at MoffettNathanson Annual Media & Communications Summit this week where Senior Executive Vice President and CFO of The Walt Disney Company, Christine McCarthy, had some interesting information about Encanto which further hints that an Encanto attraction is certainly in the pipe line for Walt Disney World and Disneyland in the future. Athough nothing is still confirmed, McCarthy said during the call that “Something that’s not yet really in the parks, but I think you will see it soon, is something like ‘Encanto,’”

There has been talk online of Encanto becoming a walk-through attraction at EPCOT but this at the moment is still speculation. We will keep you up to date with further details as and when they are announced on our news and Facebook page.

April 30 - This rumor certainly won't come as a surprise to any Disney fan. Since being released in November 2021, Encanto has taken the world by storm with its story and catchy songs including the controversial “We Don’t Talk About Bruno”. Well, it has come to light this week that American Actor and creator of the soundtrack to Encanto, Lin-Manuel Miranda, has confirmed in an interview with Insider that "Disney is working on putting something together."

Miranda told reporters when attending the Hispanic Federation's annual gala in New York City on Thursday April 28 that he is more eager to see an Encanto themed attraction at Walt Disney World or Disneyland rather than a sequel. Do not despair though, Miranda also said he has hopes for a sequel and there has been many rumors floated in the last few months about a possible Encanto 2!

"The Imagineers are on it, I don't know what they do or where they live, but I know they're on it." said Miranda when talking about a possible Encanto attraction. It seems as if the most likely type of attraction will be a walk through where "parkgoers could walk through the Madrigal family's whimsical home."

Within this concept we can expect to see the characters and the house respond and transform very much like it does in the film and we posed in our We DO Talk About Encanto Coming To The Disney Parks, featured article which we published back in February.

There are no further details about what, where or when this rumored attraction will be seen at Walt Disney World or Disneyland but this certainly gives Disney fans further hope that an Encanto attraction will become a reality in the future.

I mean, Tres Cabbelleros is sooo dusty, and it’s right in Mexico. Just give that a refresh into an Encanto Water Ride to rival Frozen and call it a day. Plus you’ve got that restaurant right there which would be PRIME real estate if the attraction had an amazing centerpiece like the Madrigal home.

Thanks for the latest hint, Natalie! Back in January I proposed how the Morocco pavilion inside EPCOT could be redesigned into a walkthrough attraction for Encanto.
