Disney's Animal Kingdom

On April 18, Disney officially reinstated character meet and greets at the Walt Disney World theme parks with close contact including hugs and autographs now allowed.

To celebrate Earth Week, Disney is showcasing some special characters at Disney's Animal Kingdom. The tweet embedded below was posted online showing the rare Gypsy Moth from A Bug's Life as well as Kevin and Russel from Up, the hyenas; Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed from The Lion King and Kenai and Koda from Brother Bear.

If you are hoping to get a glimpse of these characters at Disney's Animal Kingdom be sure to look out for them this week in the park. We are hoping that Disney will continue to showcase a range of rarer characters at Walt Disney World during its 50th Anniversary celebration, especially now character meet and greets have properly returned to the parks.

Let us know if you have spotted any other unusual characters at Walt Disney World this week by leaving us a comment below or on our Facebook page.
