There is nothing unusual about annual price increases for tickets and Annual Passes are no different. It has just been announced that the Universal Orlando Resort Annual Pass prices are going up.
Universal Orlando Resort offers four tiers of Annual Pass with the cheapest two tiers having a number of blockout dates throughout the year.
Last year the 2-Parks Annual Passholder prices for Non-Florida Residents were:
- Seasonal Pass - $349.99
- Power Pass - $399.99
- Preferred Pass - $449.99
- Premier Pass - $624.99
Below is a list of the current 2022 prices for the 2-Parks Annual Passholder prices for Non-Florida Residents:
- Seasonal Pass - $399.99 (approx 14.5% rise)
- Power Pass - $449.99 (approx 12.5%)
- Preferred Pass - $499.99 (approx 11%)
- Premier Pass - $714.99 (approx 14.3%)
As you can see for all three of the lowest tiers the price has increased by $50 and for the Premier Pass by $90. The percentage increases are similar to those from 2020 to 2021 although the Premier Pass only saw a 11.6% increase last year and this has been raised to over 14% this year.
Florida Residents enjoy a discount on these out-of-state prices. The current Florida Resident Annual Passholder prices are:
- Seasonal Pass - $299.99
- Power Pass - $349.99
- Preferred Pass - $399.99
- Premier Pass - $599.99
With most tiers of Walt Disney World Annual Passes for new guests still paused and with some unhappy Disney guests now choosing to head to Universal Orlando Resort rather than Walt Disney World, it seems likely that Florida and Non-Florida resident theme park fans will be desperate to get hold of a Universal Orlando Resort Annual Pass this year, albeit with this newly announced price hike.
