A new theme park based on the world of popular pre-school character Peppa Pig opens at Winter Haven in Florida on February 24, 2022. The park is operated by Merlin and although it is part of the LEGOLAND Florida resort it will be its own park, requiring separate admission. The park has been built on part of the huge car park for Legoland so the new Peppa Pig World is only a short walk away from Legoland and also the two hotels in the resort. 

The park is aimed at pre-school children and their slightly older siblings and will feature rides, live shows, character interactions, themed play areas and water-play areas. The rides and play areas, which are based on Peppa herself, members of her family and her friends, include Daddy Pig's Roller Coaster, Grampy Rabbits Dinosaur Adventure and Grandad Dog's Pirate Boat Ride. Other attractions include Muddy Puddles Splash Pad which derives from Peppa's favourite pastime in the TV series - "jumping up and down in muddy puddles". Everything will be instantly recognisable to fans of the cartoon series.

Since its launch in 2004, the Peppa Pig TV series has exploded in popularity and there have been multiple series broadcast in more than 180 countries.  The Peppa Pig World land at Paulton's Park in the UK opened in 2011 with nine rides and other attractions for young children. It became increasingly popular, with Paulton's Park winning awards as the best family theme park in the UK and coming in Trip Advisor's world's top ten.

Peppa’s popularity means it is no surprise that other Peppa Pig attractions have been launched or announced around the world in places as far apart as Italy (in Gardaland), Germany (in Heide Park), China (Beijing, Shanghai and Sichuan) and with indoor pre-school play areas in Dallas Fort-Worth and Michigan in the USA. The new Peppa Pig World Theme Park in Florida – the world’s first stand-alone park - is the next big step forward for Peppa and friends.

Legoland Resort now has two parks as well as two hotels, making it attractive for a short break for families with young children. To visit Peppa Pig World, guests can purchase individual tickets, annual passes or combo passes that include LEGOLAND Florida admission. As this is a relatively small park, daily ticket prices are lower than most other theme parks. The combo passes for two or three days at Peppa Pig Theme Park and the adjacent LEGOLAND Florida seem to offer the best value.
