As of today you will never see another Disney's Magical Express bus gliding around the Walt Disney World resort escorting excited guests to their dream vacation, or slightly less excited guests back to Orlando International airport at the end of their vacation.
It was great when it lasted. The official Disney's Magical Express page has now been removed from the Walt Disney World site and it is time to move on...
For many, news that Disney were discontinuing this service for resort guests will be of no significance whatsoever. A large percentage of those visiting the Walt Disney World theme parks will either be Florida residents or those choosing to stay off site. But for those that enjoyed that extra bit of sparkle at the start of their vacation it will be sorely missed.
Back in January 2021 when it was first announced that Disney's Magical Express would cease to run starting January 2022, Mears, the bus company which provides the service confirmed that they would continue to provide transport for guests arriving at Orlando International Airport albeit at an extra price.
Disney's Magical Express was a complimentary service for those who chose to stay on property at Walt Disney World. Yes, Disney would have ensured they weren't losing out and the price would have been contained within the price of the resort stay but it felt good to have this option available as park of the package for those that wanted it.
The new Mears Connect service is essentially the same at Disney's Magical Express but without the Disney sparkle. If you are interesting in booking this service visit their official site.

It is interesting to note, however, we have heard that the cost of an Uber has increased considerably in recent weeks so be sure to research this and the other options available in order to make the best choice for you and your party. It was the magical beginning to every Disney trip our family took. Which was every 4-5 years or so fromNH. The kids faces were so full of excitement on the bus. I could feel the magic beginning. We always travel with a group of 6 people or more, so I’m not sure what we’ll do next time.? I’m glad we got to experience it for the last time 😞 last October.
