Revenge of The Mummy, Universal

Universal announced back in October 2021 that the extremely popular Revenge of The Mummy at Universal Studios Florida would be getting a lengthy closure in 2022 for a needed refurbishment.

Revenge of The Mummy had a short closure at the beginning of 2021 for a quick refurbishment that included several visual projection and sound upgrades. When Revenge of The Mummy closes at the end of January 6, 2022 it is not expected to reopen until late Summer which means it will be down for the majority of 2022. An exact date hasn't been given yet.

Details of exactly what will be upgraded during this substantial refurbishment hadn't originally been announced but tweets from Alicia Stella on December 23, 2021  which are embedded below, show two permits that have been filed relating to this closure.

The first appears to be a permit filed for Control System and Electrical System upgrades for Revenge of the Mummy at Universal Studios Florida.

The second is another permit which is titled "B-57 COURTYARD IMPROVEMENTS" and is described as "Exterior Improvements and Exterior Site Improvements".

It is no wonder with these large improvements planned that Revenge of The Mummy will see months of downtime but when the attraction does reopen later this Summer it is sure to be able to continue to thrill fans for many more years to come.
