VelociCoaster, Universal

The official opening of Jurassic World: VelociCoaster  on June 10 at Universal Islands of Adventure is now less than two weeks away.

Universal Orlando Resort Team Members and Annual Passholders  were the first to have the chance to experience Jurassic World: VelociCoaster with exclusive previews. The attraction then began a technical Rehearsal/soft opening earlier in May.

Hype for this much anticipated attraction has built and built and Universal has now released an official POV of Jurassic World: VelociCoaster.

The video shows the sheer intensity of the action packed features of this launch coaster which when it opens will be Florida's fastest and tallest launch coaster. The ride is packed full of thrilling elements including a barrel roll right above the Islands of Adventure lagoon, numerous near misses and high-speed launches – the fastest reaching 70 mph in 2.4 seconds – and the signature “Top Hat,” which propels riders 155 feet in the air and then immediately into an 80-degree drop – Universal’s steepest drop yet. The official POV of Jurassic World: VelociCoaster is embedded below:
