Universal Orlando Resort  announced this morning that an all-new, interactive character experience will be coming soon to Universal Studios Florida's KidsZone: DreamWorks Destination! In this new area, guests can meet, greet and dance along with their favorite DreamWorks characters in an incredibly-themed location that brings the high-energy fun of the franchise’s most popular animated films to life.

DreamWorks Destination will be a first-of-its-kind character experience where guests will be able to see characters from DreamWorks Animation’s hit film franchises like Trolls, Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda and more in a party atmosphere set against a moonlit sky (inspired by the animation studio’s iconic opening sequence). 

This area will take over the former A Day in the Park With Barney showbuilding and should be opening soon. No specific date has been given yet for this meet and greet experience, but with a "Spring 2021" opening date, it looks like we're only looking at a matter of days before this new attraction opens. 

Because it is indoors, we'd imagine that when it opens masks will be required for this up-close character meet and greet experience, as Universal's current health and safety guidelines require masks in indoor spaces. However, nothing has been announced regarding this and if there will be special exceptions made since guests will be primarily taking photos in this location.
