Last night Walt Disney World finally took down all of the construction walls around EPCOT's newly redesigned entrance plaza featuring the new fountain and acrylic pylon centerpiece, along with planters, pathways, lush landscaping and a vibrant new color palette that will eventually tie the park's new image together. You can check out photos of the newly reimagined entrance centerpiece below:
As you can see, the new entrance fountain features colorless acrylic pylons, each standing over 16 feet tall and featuring the park’s logo, recalling this park's timeless history.
As you can see, this new centerpiece is quite the stunning icon, and with Disney installing new lighting around this area in the coming months, we expect this entrance area to get even more impressive in the near future!
According to Disney, the idea behind this new entrance for EPCOT was to design a "welcoming area that brings people together" with "the greenery and use of water to celebrate a harmony between humanity and the natural world". Are you excited to head to the theme park in the near future to check this out?
