Kings Dominion

Screamscape reported earlier this week that coaster pieces had been discovered by guests arriving for Kings Dominion's Taste of the Season holiday event in the parking lot near Dominator. There are bamboo looking supports and green track.

There was a rumor back in April that the new coaster which will replace The Crypt, would be a compact coaster such as the S&S 4D Free Spin. With Six Flags having installed a number of these compact coasters across their parks, it will be interesting to see if the version coming to Kings Dominion will differ in any way making it stand out from the crowd.

This new ride was originally set to open in 2021 and as the pieces appear to be at the park ready to be constructed, it looks hopeful that it will indeed open at some point in 2021.

There hasn't been an official announcement from Kings Dominion as to when exactly this might be yet, we will keep you posted. Below is a video showing a brief look at the track and supports which have been spotted on site at Kings Dominion this week.

Which Cedar Fair parks have an S&S Freespin? Did you mean to say several have been installed at Six Flags?

Thanks for the heads up Chris, apologies, yes it should have said Cedar Fair. The article has been updated. Thanks for reading.
