As is the case with all open theme parks, Universal is hosting modified Christmas events this year due to COVID-19. They kicked off at Universal Studios and Universal Islands of Adventure on November 14 and will run until January 3, 2021. For anyone who is trying to beat the COVID-19 blues and start getting into the festive spirit, here is a video that should hopefully brighten up your weekend.

Universal's Holiday Experience is a a walk-through experience at Universal Studios where guests can see giant Macy's Balloons and colorful Christmas floats. There is also the chance for a perfect photo opportunity with Santa Claus.

In the walk-through video which has been posted by Orlando Experience and is embedded below, you can see the vast array of impressive balloons including minions, a large pineapple from Madagascar and the gingerbread man from Shrek. Sparkling Christmas trees are all around and everyone appears to be enjoying the event. 

As well as Universal's Holiday Experience at Universal Studio, Christmas sparkle and festive decor  can be seen throughout The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in both Diagon Alley in Universal Studios Florida and Hogsmeade in Universal's Islands of Adventure. In Diagon Alley guests can experience the Celestina Warbeck and the Banshees show and over at Hogsmeade, The Frog Choir will perform at various times throughout the day. Special Holiday merchandise and Butterbeer will also be available. 

Guests will also have the opportunity to experience:

• NEW Character Celebration - Characters from Minions, Shrek and Madagascar will make appearances throughout the day at Universal Studios.
• The Grinch & The Whos - celebrate Grinchmas in Seuss Landing at Universal's Islands of Adventures with appearances throughout the day.

There will be a Holiday Tree Hunt and a Holiday Treat Trail as well the opportunity of purchasing seasonal sweets and treats and browsing seasonal merchandise at the Holiday Tribute Store. Photo opportunities will be a plenty with decorated spots throughout the resort.
