At the beginning of October we shared a video which had been posted by Orlando Experience of the current status of construction progress on the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser hotel which was originally set to open in 2021.

The show building can be clearly seen and a new walkway has now been added. Bioreconstruct reports on the tweets that the show building won't actually be visible to guests when the hotel is complete and will be covered with forest and high walls.

A launch pod inside the building is said to transport guests to the ship and due to the viewpoints of the pod it will feel as though you are speeding through space. It seems as if Disney has thought about every detail in order to make this one of a kind hotel experience as immersive as possible.

The photos clearly show the progress that has been made over the last few months on this highly anticipated hotel which will fully immerse guests for the duration of their stay. This hotel stay will be like no other with guests arriving and departing at the same time for a two-night stay with a set itinerary. It is said that guests will experience lightsaber training, exploration of the Halcyon, a chance to learn how to operate the ship on the bridge as well as spending a day at Disney's Hollywood Studios to fully take in all that Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge has to offer.

It was announced earlier this year, before the COVID-19 theme park closures that bookings for the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser hotel would open late 2020. There hasn't been an official announcement as of yet to when bookings for this hotel will commence and although a 2021 opening was originally planned, due to COVID-19 this may be pushed back. It is very encouraging to see construction work is progressing well on this exciting project.
