Halloween Horror Nights Trubute room, Universal

For many theme park fans, when they think about Universal Orlando Resort, not only do they think about the Wizarding World of Harry Potter but about Halloween Horror Nights. Universal Orlando Resort is renown for this amazing, spine-tingling Halloween event which draws in thousands of guests wanting to be scared senseless by the numerous themed scare mazes each year.

Unfortunately this year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 Halloween Horror Nights event was officially cancelled back in July which is extremely disappointing for fans. However, all is not lost as the Halloween Horror Nights Tribute Store opened at the end of July with Halloween Horror Nights merchandise and photo-ops in the New York area of Universal Studios Florida and was then expanded last month with a new fully immersive room haunted by Beetlejuice along with a room filled with a selection of sweet and savory Halloween treats for you to try. The following offerings can be sampled; Gummy Beating Hearts, Halloween Confetti Cake, Vegan Brownie Skulls and many more.

For anyone wanting to find out more about the interesting story behind the Halloween Horror Nights Tribute Store, to learn how it came about, who is behind it and to explore how this experience has been developed over the last five years, Universal has released a post about exactly that.

The Tribute Store first appeared on Halloween Horror Nights 25th Anniversary and its main purpose is to be an interactive shopping experience showing off the large array of merchandise available. It also gives guests the fun factor while they shop by offering props and set pieces to use as photo-ops whilst shopping at the store.

Leading the team is Rob Cametti, Director of Visual Merchandising, and each year he and his team are in charge of bringing the experience to life. As with everything that is Universal, impressive theming and immersion is expected and this store definitely delivers. Each year the team tries to top the previous year, making the job even more challenging.

As already mentioned the purpose of the store is to collate all the current Halloween Horror Nights merchandise, including the sought after limited edition offerings. But everything is meticiously themed so the store becomes a not to be missed attraction to every Halloween Horror Nights fan.
