Our recent Big Debate aimed to get you thinking about two upcoming attractions that theme park fans should be getting very excited about. We chose a head-to-head between Disney's Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and Universal's Jurassic Park Coaster.

There has been a lot of hype across the web in recent weeks regarding the construction work which is currently going on at Universal's Islands of Adventure on the Jurassic Park Coaster. Last week we posted an article linking to masses of photos of how the ride currently stands, as well as a video which had brilliant footage of the coaster.

Work is also commencing on Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind which Disney originally hoped to be open in 2021, in time for the Magic Kingdom's 50th anniversary, but due to the COVID-19 closures a 2022 is now looking more likely. The Results - Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind Vs Jurassic Park, Which Coaster Can't You Wait To Ride The Most?

Well, as it states in the title of the article, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind wins by a 16% margin. Of those readers that voted, 58% said they couldn't wait for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, compared to 42% that voted for the Jurassic Park Coaster.

I must say that having been born in the 1980s, Jurassic Park will always have a special place in my heart. I was quite shy as a child so I spent a lot of time in the cinema hiding behind my scarf but I remember being stunned and amazed. The iconic theme tune must be one of the most well known of any film. Needless to say, my vote would have gone to the Jurassic Park Coaster.
