Although there is still no sign of Disneyland opening its gates anytime soon, a few Marvel fans have been allowed to take a tour of Avengers Campus as it currently stands. To see a couple of photos from Josh D'Amaro, head to his instagram page.

What do we know so far?

Back in August 2019 Disney announced that both the new lands at  Disney California Adventure and Disneyland Paris will be called Avengers Campus and that guests who visit these campuses will become part of an interconnected, global story spanning from California to Paris to Hong Kong, as the Avengers recruit new extraordinary people to join them.

One of the main attractions will be, WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure ride, which will give guests the opportunity to experience what it’s like to have web-slinging superpowers like Spider-Man as they take on a mission to take out Spider-Bots that have run amok during a test drive of the “Web Slinger” vehicle. We now know that the familiar voice of Tom Holland will be heard in this attraction.

As for the rest of the land, we know there will be various eateries and character meet and greet areas. We know that the new Spider-Man ride will be the main draw for Avengers Campus but it has been reported that The Pym Test Kitchen will be included in the land, where Pym Technologies are said to be experimenting with growing and shrinking food.

Though the Marvel-themed Avengers Campus was supposed to open this summer along with the new WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure ride, with work completely halted three months before its grand opening, we'll likely have to wait a little longer before experiencing this new area at Disney California Adventure as Disney has changed its official website to now read “Coming Soon” as opposed to the previously-announced opening date.

Most of the work on the interior of the Spider-Man ride was basically complete back in February, with mostly facade work being done around this new area. This this land is therefore likely to open when Disneyland is given the go ahead to open, or very quickly after. With a 2020 reopening looking less and less likely, fans are likely to have to look forward to experiencing this in 2021.
