So, everyone must know by now that Walt Disney World has now reopened its gates and is welcoming adoring fans once more, after almost three months of being closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Everyone also knows right now that Florida is unfortunately seeing an upsurge in the number of reported COVID-19 cases.

Many people are calling for the re-closure of theme parks in Florida while others disagree and advocate that the economy needs to get restarted again. It continues to be a time of uncertainty.

What we all do know for sure though is that a visit to Walt Disney World or any theme park in Florida and indeed across the world is going to be a whole lot different due to the new measures and procedures that have had to be implemented. These have got to comply with government health and safety guidelines, to ensure that everything is being done to keep employees and guests as safe as possible at a time when COVID-19 is still present.

While there will be some measures that guests and employees are surely not going to be able to wait to see the back of, face masks I think will for majority of people will top that list. A number of these changes may stick around for the foreseeable future and may then purely become normal and will be permenant changes.

Walt Disney has 3 COVID-19 Changes at Walt Disney World that Could Become Permanent. What are your views?

The Big Debate - Which COVID-19 Change At Walt Disney World Would YOU Like To Become Permenant? Part 1: FastPass+

There hasn't been any official announcements regarding how long the changes that Walt Disney World have put into place will be sticking around for. I guess that very much depends on how the COVID-19 pandemic continues over the coming months.

What is clear is that the following three changes are here at the moment and may just continue into the future:

  1. No FastPass+
  2. The first-come, first serve virtual queue
  3. More Characters Out and About In The theme parks

I thought it would make sense to break this down into a mini series of polls to gauge your views on these potential changes and what you hope to see in the future.

So, Fast Pass+, this has been an extremely talked about subject since its introduction and often Disney fans are split regarding it. Some love it and some hate it, while others tolerate it because well what else can you do?

Since Walt Disney World has reopened its gates FastPass+ has not been available and all existing reservations have been cancelled. Some may think this is a good idea while parks run at reduced capacity but will this even be possible when capacity is increased again as it inevitably will be?

VOTE NOW

So, what do you think, should FastPass+ be gotten rid of permanently? For those that think yes, there is another choice apart from the simple yes option. You can select yes, but a new alternative needs to be developed. Leave us your comments either in the section below or on Facebook as to what you think this new system should look like. As usual, in our Results and Discussion article we will add a number of these comments for you to read.

A few readers have commented that these polls are pointless because it won't make any difference anyway, which is inarguably a valid point in most situations.
