One annual tradition that Florida locals have come to appreciate during the winter is the new year Florida Resident ticket discount. Though it technically isn't guaranteed to be offered every year, ever since 2017 Disney has been offering locals a ticket deal that allows Florida residents to purchase special "Discover Disney" tickets that offer deep discounts on regular theme park admission during a specific period.

Earlier this week it was confirmed that this deal will once again be available in 2020. Starting on January 2, Florida residents with valid state identification (such as a driver's license) can purchase the following multi-day tickets at some very lucrative prices: 

• 3-day Discover Disney Ticket for $175, plus tax ($59 per day, plus tax) 
• 4-day Discover Disney Ticket for $195, plus tax ($49 per day, plus tax)

This new ticket deal includes admission to any of the four Walt Disney World theme parks (one theme park per day) and can be purchased from January 2 through June 27, 2020, and can be used any three or four days (depending on ticket purchased) during this window. And best of all, there are no blockout dates during this period! Disney announced that a park hopper add-on could be purchased for these special tickets, but no pricing for this extra feature has been confirmed yet.
