3. Disney+ information kiosks now open at Disney Springs and Downtown Disney

Guests who are interested in learning more about Disney+ or signing up for the service can now visit a new pop-up kiosk at Disney Springs in front of the Paddlefish restaurant in The Landing to learn more about this streaming service. Cast Members will be on hand to answer questions about the new service and sign guests up on site.

Over on the west coast at Downtown Disney guests can also find a Disney+ kiosk located by the Disney Home store.

4. Merchandise from The Mandalorian available at several locations

Though it is strange that Disney isn't screening a sneak peek at Star Wars series The Mandalorian at the Star Wars: Launch Bay on either coast, Disney is wasting no time getting merchandise from this new show into stores at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland resort, including the following:

Walt Disney World

  • World of Disney in Disney Springs
  • Keystone Clothiers, Star Wars Launch Bay and Tatooine Traders at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
  • MouseGear at Epcot Emporium at Magic Kingdom

Disneyland Resort

  • The Star Trader, Star Wars Launch Bay and Emporium at Disneyland park
  • Elias & Co. at Disney California Adventure park

Though the in-park previews, sponsorships and more certainly seem like great ways to get guests interested in Disney+, the most obvious integration for this new streaming service would seem to be giving resort guests a free "trial" of this service during their stay. Even though Disney resort TVs aren't immediately compatible with this service, equipping each one with a Chromecast/Roku or other device so guests could have a "trial" of this service would seem to be a good way to get guests interested in Disney+, and possibly convert resort guests into Disney+ subscribers following their stay.

Still, despite this seemingly inexplicable oversight, it looks like guests visiting Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort will see some new Disney+ content on their next visit, and potentially more in the future as Disney looks to bring more experiences based on content from this streaming service to its theme parks in the future.
